US$ 100 milhões

A holding MDC Partners irá anunciar nesta sexta-feira (15) que o Stagwell Group, do ex-executivo da Microsoft Mark Penn está fazendo um investimento de US$ 100 milhões no grupo, segundo o AdAge.

De acordo com fontes do veículo, Penn irá se tornar CEO da holding.

O seguinte memorando circulou nesta quinta-feira (14) entre os executivos seniores do Grupo: "The objectives of our strategic review were clear: solidify our balance sheet, bring strong leadership to the parent, create greater stability for MDC's partner firms in the market, and improve our ability to invest behind our core strengths. Tomorrow's announcement allows us to do exactly that, and enables us to proudly focus on our position as the preeminent talent-first network in the industry, dedicated to supporting the strategy, creativity and growth of our partners."

No ano passado, a MDC confirmou que estava considerando "possíveis alternativas estratégicas", que poderiam incluir a venda da holding, dona de agências como Anomaly, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, 72andSunny, Assembly e Forsman & Bodenfors.
