McCann NY é Agência do Ano
A International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS) anunciou os ganhadores da 25ª edição do Webby Awards, premiação anual conhecida como Oscar da internet. Nas categorias de publicidade, a grande vencedora é a McCann New York, eleita Agency of the Year. No ano passado, o título ficou com a BBDO NY (reveja os resultados aqui).
A agência conquistou 4 Webby Awards e 6 Webby People’s Voice Awards. Entre as campanhas que se destacaram estão #IStayHomeFor, um desafio criado pela McCann e pelo grupo Interpublic na luta contra a covid-19, e “Acceptance Street”, para MasterCard, que combate preconceitos enfrentados pela comunidade LGBTQI+.
Em seguida vieram R/GA (6 prêmios, 6 indicações), Wieden+Kennedy (6 prêmios, 4 indicações), BASIC (5 prêmios, 8 indicações), Droga5 (3 prêmios, 14 indicações) e TBWA Media Arts Lab (3 prêmios, 7 indicações). A organização apontou que também foram destaques as campanhas “You Can’t Stop Us” (da W+K para Nike), Apple’s “Dark Universe Experiments” (da TBWA Media Arts Lab para Apple), "Comunal Gin" (da R/GA para Patagonia Brewery) e “Life Needs Truth” (da Droga5).
Como Rede do Ano o prêmio ficou com a McCann Worldgroup. No ano passado, ela já havia conquistado o troféu. O McCann Worldgroup afirmou que escritórios de 6 cidades foram premiados: Nova York, Londres, Varsóvia, Dubai, São Francisco e São Paulo (com a campanha "Valorize seu talento", para o Banco do Brasil).
Outro título disputado foi o de Produtora do Ano, que ficou com a MediaMonks.
“Os vencedores das categorias Publicidade e Marketing deste ano criaram campanhas, conteúdo e experiências inovadores que serviram para educar, entreter e elevar todos nós durante uma época em que muitos se sentiram desconectados e isolados”, explicou Claire Graves, presidente do The Webby Awards.
