O Cannes Lions anunciou a lista de presidentes de júri para o festival marcado entre os dias 21 e 25 de junho – e de forma presencial (leia aqui). Bozoma Saint John, Merlee Jayme e Geoff Northcott completam o time que foi formado para a premiação de 2020.
O chairman do Cannes Lions, Philip Thomas, declarou: “Sabemos que, após o adiamento da premiação do ano passado, nossos presidentes do júri estão ansiosos para começar. Eles estarão liderando os júris em um ano único, premiando os Leões de 2020 e 2021 – não é um trabalho pequeno. Ele proporcionará uma reflexão crucial sobre esta jornada recente sem precedentes. Felizmente, eles são indivíduos extremamente talentosos e são mais do que qualificados para assumir a tarefa de definir o novo benchmark criativo do mundo”.
Dezesseis mulheres vão presidir júris nessa edição dupla, por assim dizer. Desse modo, o júri passa a ser 57% feminino. Entre elas está Bozoma, que é CMO global da Netflix e vai presidir o júri de Glass: The Lion for Change.
