My Little Pony Rides Into Artsville
Opening tomorrow, Oct. 21, and running through Oct. 25 at New York's Milk Gallery, 450 W. 15th St., Hasbro’s My Little Pony brand teams up with the Brooklyn-based designers of Thunderdog Studios (www.thunderdogstudios.com) to present "The Pony Project." The exhibition features several dozen up-and-coming female artists, each offering her own interpretation of the beloved horsey toy via a customized 18-inch My Little Pony figure. Half of the proceeds from art sales and other merchandise will be donated to the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children who are battling serious illnesses.
