Microsoft quer encorajar garotas a 'mudar o mundo'

A Microsoft lança mais um filme da série #MakeWhatsNext. Em "Change the Odds" (assista abaixo), garotas são questionadas sobre o que elas gostariam de fazer para mudar o mundo e contam, com muita empolgação, sobre como queriam encontrar a cura para o câncer de mama, ajudar na despoluição do meio ambiente ou levar água potável para quem precisa.

Para tanto, elas poderiam ser médicas, inventoras, empresárias. No entanto, as estatísticas não são nada boas para as meninas: apenas 6,7% das mulheres dos EUA e 16% globalmente são graduadas em ciência, tecnologia, engenharia e matemática (STEM, na sigla em inglês).

Esse dado é passado às participantes, com o comentário de que, segundo as estatísticas, elas "não resolverão esses problemas". Os rostos das jovens ficam visivelmente decepcionados.

O filme, criado pela m:united//McCann, faz o seguinte apelo: "Change the world. Stay in STEM." A ideia é convocar as jovens a mudar ao sistema atual, recalibrando os números e marcando presença em campos tradicionalmente masculinos.
