BK destaca 'heróis' do sofá

O Burger King incentiva o público a ficar em casa, mais especificamente em seu sofá - comendo fast food -, em novo comercial que apoia as medidas de contingência no combate à pandemia da Covid-19.

Criado pela FCB, o comercial (assista abaixo) foi produzido a partir de filmagens realizadas antes da pandemia de Covid-19. Apesar de terem sido captadas para um outro conceito, as cenas encontraram uma nova vida como parte da campanha "Stay Home of the Whopper".

"Your country needs you to stay on your couch and order in", diz a narração. "Do your part. Staying home doesn't just make us all safer, it makes you a couch 'potatriot'."

A marca elogia aqueles que estão "fazendo a sua parte", chamando-os de "couch potatriots", uma brincadeira com o termo "coach potato" (preguiçoso). A sugestão do uso do mashup linguístico na campanha foi de Ari Halper, creative partner da FCB da América do Norte.

Embora a mensagem principal do filme seja a de que a marca não cobrará taxas de entrega em pedidos acima de US$ 10, feitos a partir de aplicativos móveis, ela também destaca que o Burger King está oferecendo 250 mil Whoppers gratuitamente para profissionais de saúde e incentiva os consumidores a fazer suas doação ao American Nurses Foundation Coronavirus Response Fund.
